Vern Arndt
United States Marine Corps
December 27, 1963 – October 15, 1969

I served 6 years active duty, 3 years as an enlisted man, Cpl.. E-4 and 3 years as an officer, Captain, O-3.

I enlisted for my identity, travel and adventure.  The USMC brought out the best in me and to that I am forever thankful.  Parris Island and Quantico were instrumental in molding me into the individual Marine I became.  Then Vietnam came and screwed it up and I became a civilian again.
