The Vietnam Veterans Memorial, often simply called The Wall, has stood for over 30 years in Washington, D.C.
Since its dedication on November 13, 1982, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) has “pursued a mission of preserving the legacy of The Wall, promoting healing and educating about the impact of the Vietnam War.” To further this mission, and to help personalize and memorialize each individual, the VVMF is building The Education Center to tell the stories of our fallen heroes and provide an educational experience about the Vietnam War. The heroic part of this project is one everyone can assist with: to find a photo to match every name on The Wall.
In an effort to preserve the legacy of those who sacrificed all in Vietnam, WITF is working with the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund in Washington D.C., to find a photo for each of the Pennsylvanians whose name is listed on the Wall of Faces through the generosity of those willing to help locate their photos. This program will ensure that Vietnam Veterans from Pennsylvania will be remembered and honored by visitors from around the globe for generations to come. You can help.
If you have a picture of a loved one or fellow veteran whose name is on the list below, please help VVMF honor these individuals by putting a face with a name. For information on how to submit a photo, please visit the Virtual Wall of Faces website. You can also view a map (PDF) breaking down how many pictures are still needed by county.
All photos collected will be featured in VVMF’s Virtual Wall of Faces and in the future Education Center at The Wall.
Here are the names of the people for whom VVMF still needs a photo for in Pennsylvania as of August 2017 – Wall of Faces – Pennsylvania
Help us find the photos and make sure every Pennsylvanian is honored.

About VVMF
Based in Arlington, Virginia, VVMF (the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund) is the nonprofit organization authorized by the U.S. Congress in 1980 to build a national memorial dedicated to all who served with the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War. Incorporated on April 27, 1979 by a group of veterans led by Jan C. Scruggs, the organization sought a tangible symbol of recognition from the American people for those who served in the war.
