Light artillery was used in a variety of ways in Vietnam, we flew our 105’s into the field with C47 Helicopters, we towed the guns with our trucks and some of us worked on barges with the guns on board. In early 1967, C Battery, 1/11th Artillery was credited with the first observed Vietcong kill by artillery in the war:
